Obiettivi dell'insegnamento:
- studio e analisi delle più recenti teorie traduttive esplorate in occidente e familiarizzazione con il dibattito teorico sulla traduzione in CIna nel XX secolo.
- capacità di applicare le teorie traduttive studiate alla pratica traduttiva
- capacità di elaborare autonomamente un progetto traduttivo adatto per un dato testo e un dato pubblico
- capacità di utilizzare gli strumenti presentati (dizionari, ricerca online, ecc.) per comprendere le criticità del testo (frasi in dialetto, giochi di parole, riferimenti culturali, ecc)
Targets:
- to study and analyze of the recent Western translation theory and to familiarize with the debate on translation theory in China in XX century.

- Descrivere e commentare oralmente il dibattito attuale sulla traduzione letteraria, facendo uso degli struemtni critici presentati a lezione
- Leggere, analizzare e tradurre i testi proposti evidenziando i punti di resistenza alla traduzione sulla base delle teorie traduttive studiate.
- Elaborare autonomamente il progetto traduttivo più adatto per il testo proposto e un pubblico dato
- Descrivere e commentare in cinese i contenuti dei testi analizzati, inquadrando essi e i loro autori nel panorama storico letterario cinese
- Utilizzare gli strumenti bibliografici e le risorse informatiche utili per il mestiere del traduttore

- To read and analyze the literary texts proposed, pointing out the most difficult passages to translate and the possible solutions on the basis of the theories studied.

La prova orale è divisa in due parti, da sostenersi contestualmente:
- conversazione su tema dato (docente madrelingua)
- lettura e traduzione dei testi affrontati nel modulo 1 e conoscenza dei testi e letture obbligatorie .

Traduzione letteraria: teoria e pratica
- Introduzione alle più recenti teorie traduttive in campo letterario.
- Tradurre letteratura: il mestiere del traduttore letterario. Esercitazioni pratiche: lettura, analisi e traduzione editoriale di brani di narrativa contemporanea.
- Riflessione teorica e esercizio pratico sulla questione della molteplicità dei registri linguistici (aulico, tragico, comico, volgare, parlato, ecc): come rilevarli e riprodurli in traduzione.
Literary translation: theory and practice
- analysis of the recent theories on literary translation
- practical training on translation of contemporary Chinese literature passages
- focus on the question of different registers (spoken, written, tragic, humorous register etc.)
