Research Methodology in Asian and African Studies: Exam Instructions
Gli studenti che hanno frequentato almeno il 75% delle lezioni dovranno:
- contattare uno dei docenti e concordare un tema e una biliografia
- scrivere un paper di 2000 parole, in inglese, sul tema concordato, seguendo il sistema author-date del Chicago Manual of Style
- presentare il proprio paper, ricorrendo eventualmente a una presentazione Power Point e/o un handout; le presentazioni saranno nelle seguenti date:
- 16 Aprile, h 12-14, aula da definire
- 6 Maggio, h 14-16, aula da definire
Il paper dovrà essere inviato al docente almeno 10 giorni prima della presentazione (quindi entro il 5 o il 26 di Aprile).
Gli studenti che non hanno potuto frequentare dovranno:
- contattare uno dei docenti del corso per concordare un tema e una bibliografia
- scrivere un paper di 4000 parole, in inglese, seguendo il sistema author-date del Chicago Manual of Style
Il paper deve essere consegnato entro il 10 Maggio per l'appello del 1 Giugno ed entro il 15 Giugno per l'appello del 3 Settembre.
Tutti gli stundenti devono iscriversi, tramite la piattaforma Unito (Esse3) ad uno degli appelli previsti (1 Giugno e 3 Settembre) per la verbalizzazione del risultato.
L'esame è valutato su una scala superato/ non superato
Students who attend the course regularly (i.e. 75% of the classes) are required to:
- Contact one of the teachers of the course to agree upon a theme and a short bibliography
- Prepare a 2000 words paper on the chosen theme; papers have to follow the MLA/Chicago quick guidelines, i.e. the author-date system, with references and no footnotes
- Briefly present their research in class (it is possible to use various pedagogical aids such as a PowerPoint presentation, handouts, photocopies, etc.); the presentations’ calendar is as follows:
- 16 April, h 12-14, room to be defined
- 6 May, h 14-16, room to be defined
The paper must be written in English handed in to the teacher at least ten days before the presentation (i.e. 5 April or 26 April).
Students who cannot attend the course are required to:
- Contact one of the teachers of the course to propose a theme and a short bibliography
- Prepare a 4000 words paper on the chosen theme; papers have to follow the MLA/Chicago quick guidelines, i.e. the author-date system
The paper must be written in English handed in to the teacher before May the 10th for the 1 June exame and June the 15th for the 3 September exam.
All students have to sign up for the examination via their MyUnito page (Esse3) in order the be awarded the exam credits – please notice the official dates of the examination are: 1 June, 3 September
Grades are awarded on a pass/fail scale.
