Obiettivi formativi
L'insegnamento concorre alla realizzazione del progetto formativo del corso di studi fornendo allo studente la capacità di leggere e analizzare criticamente testi in lingua cinese riguardanti tematiche storiche e di cronaca contemporanea relative alla Repubblica Popolare Cinese e alla Repubblica di Cina, affinché maturino queste capacità per applicarle autonomamente nell'ambito professionale che li attende dopo la laurea.
The purpose of this course is to make students familiar with the reading and critical analysis of Chinese texts on history and on current events from the People’s Republic of China and from the Republic of China.
This will improve their capacity to autonomously apply the acquired abilities in the professional field they will be engaged after graduation.

Conoscenza e comprensione
Al termine di questo insegnamento, lo studente di cinese dovrà conoscere:
- i lessemi utilizzati nei testi cinesi letti;
- il contesto storico cui fa riferimento ciascun testo cinese letto;
Lo studente di giapponese dovrà conoscere:
- il contenuto del testo indicato nella bibliografia.
Applicare conoscenza e comprensione
Al termine di questo insegnamento, lo studente di cinese dovrà:
- saper leggere e analizzare i testi cinesi trattati durante le lezioni;
- saper individuare rapidamente i contenuti chiave di un testo anche non letto in precedenza;
- saper esporre il contesto storico cui si riferiscono i singoli testi affrontati durante il corso;
Al termine di questo insegnamento, lo studente di cinese e di giapponese dovrà:
- saper analizzare il contesto storico esprimendo una valutazione critica degli avvenimenti e dei periodi storici interessati;
- saper collegare le conoscenze acquisite durante questo corso con quelle apprese in altri corsi.
Autonomia di giudizio
Al termine di questo insegnamento, lo studente dovrà:
- presentare e commentare criticamente i testi analizzati durante il corso;
- saper valutare l’affidabilità delle fonti usate.
Abilità comunicative
Le lezioni in forma seminariale avranno consentito a ciascuno studente di verificare le proprie abilità comunicative, onde poterle migliorare.
Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, students in Chinese major are expected to know:
- the Chinese lexemes of the texts read in class;
- the historical background of these Chinese text.
Students in Japanese major are expected to know:
- the subjects of the work in the bibliography.
Applying knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, students in Chinese major are expected to have:
- acquired the ability to read and discuss critically the text read in class;
- acquired the skill of swiftly identify the key points in a text, even a new one;
- acquired the capacity to explain the historical background of the text read in class.
At the end of the course, students in Japanse and Chinese major are expected to know:
- How to analyse the historical background in expressing an incisive evaluation of the circumstances and of the historical periods involved;
- How to relate to each other the newly acquired and the previous knowledge.
Making judgements
At the end of the course, students in are expected to have:
- The capacity to critically articulate and analyse the text read in class;
- The capacity to evaluate the realiability of the sources they use.
Communication skills
The workshop class will foster the debate among students on the written text and on its context in order to enhance their communication skills and learning process.

Modalità di insegnamento
Il corso prevede la partecipazione attiva degli studenti nella lettura, comprensione e commento dei testi esaminati. Le lezioni saranno in forma seminariale per favorire il confronto tra gli studenti sui singoli testi e sul contesto cui essi rimandano.
The class will train students to actively take part in reading and giving comments on the texts under examination and translation. The workshop class will foster the debate among students on each written text and on its historical context.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento
• Per gli studenti che hanno come prima lingua cinese:
- esame orale che verificherà la conoscenza dei testi in lingua cinese letti durante le lezioni e della bibliografia fornita durante il corso per comprendere il contesto storico cui si riferiscono.
• Per gli studenti che hanno come prima lingua giapponese:
una prova orale verificherà l'apprendimento dei contenuti del testo specificato nella bibliografia e la capacità di collegarli al contesto storico cui essi si riferiscono.
• Per gli studenti di altri corsi di laurea:
una prova orale verificherà l'apprendimento dei contenuti della bibliografia concordata e la capacità di collegarli alle conoscenze acquisite sinora.
For students in Chinese major:
- Oral exam to verify their learning and understanding of the Chinese texts read in class, as well as the written works assigned during the class-time in order to understand the historical context they refer to.
For students in Japanese major:
- Oral exam to verify their learning and understanding of the text specified in the bibliography, as well as the ability to connect its content with the historical background and their previous knowledge.
For students in other majors:
- Oral exam to verify their learning and understanding of the planned bibliography, as well as the ability to connect its content with their previous knowledge.

Programma
Gli studenti che hanno come prima lingua cinese affronteranno in aula la lettura e il commento di testi cinesi relativi alla storia e alla cronaca della Repubblica Popolare Cinese e della Repubblica di Cina, oltre che del periodo tardo imperiale.
Di volta in volta, verrà illustrato il contesto storico di riferimento per ciascun testo letto e verranno fornite indicazioni bibliografiche per approfondire il tema principale di cui si parlerà.
Gli studenti che hanno come prima lingua giapponese, posso prepararsi autonomamente sul seguente testo:

Students on Chinese language will read in classroom text about the history and some current events related to Chinese culture. They would also be asked to give their comments on these works. For each work the historical context will be provided, as well as a bibliography to enhance their understanding of the topic.
Students on Japanese major may study the following work:
